JOB DESCRIPTION
The Associate, Infrastructure Investments will be actively involved with the infrastructure team in completing new investments, managing existing investments and reporting and analytics.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Associate, Infrastructure Investments:
- New Investments:
- Review and analyze funding and direct investment opportunities.
- Conduct initial screening reports, comprehensive due diligence reports and Excel analysis to support investment decisions alongside other team members.
- Help prepare investment recommendation reports.
- Existing Investments:
- Review infrastructure investment quarterly reports and track key performance and operational metrics.
- Perform comprehensive Excel analysis and highlight important insights.
- Attend quarterly or annual meetings as needed.
- Other:
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly investment committee reports and the weekly pipeline reports.
- Support ad-hoc analysis for portfolio management as needed.
- The Associate may also be asked to support the Private Equity team on a case-by-case basis
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Completion of a university degree.
Experience
- 2 to 4 years relevant work experience (corporate or investment banking, equity research, consulting, accounting or transaction services).
- Experience or knowledge of private equity and/or infrastructure would be an asset.
- Demonstrate a high level of motivation, energy and excitement about investments.
- Well-developed Excel skills include creating reports, spreadsheets and financial modelling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and communicate complex ideas and concepts
