As a CNC Setter and Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our computer numerical control (CNC) machinery. You will work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate production of machined components.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter and Operator in the engineering industry, must have CNC Lathe and machining centers experience
- Fanuc and Haas controls experience is imperative
- In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery operation, tooling, and programming.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with quality control principles and processes.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy materials if required
Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including loading materials, fixtures, and tools.
- Operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality machined components within specified tolerances.
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or abnormalities and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and adjust as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers and production team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or programming errors in a timely manner.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
