Regional Scorecard Management Consultant

An opportunity exists in our Scorecard Management team for a Scorecard Management Consultant. This position will be assigned areas of responsibilities within the European Region and reports directly to the Global Manager, Scorecard Management.

As a Scorecard Management Consultant, you are responsible for translating the business needs of Global Business Units and countries into an optimized credit underwriting process for small-ticket applications up to EUR 1 million. You are expected to combine data analysis, project management and stakeholder management skills. In addition, you will perform a 2nd line of responsibility role for reporting and monitoring. This to ensure that the quality of business being accepted is in line with the risk appetite.

Day to day

 

Be responsible for our domain for a certain region covering multiple countries. You are the main contact person and are responsible from the 2nd line for the performance of the small ticket credit environment for the relevant countries.

  • Independently lead projects related to our domain. These may cover a variety of topics including extensive data analyses for optimizing the automated credit scoring for a single country, improvements to processes across regions, or implementing new monitoring and reporting requirements across the globe.
  • Take responsibility for the optimization, technical implementation and maintenance of our automated credit decision tools and processes. Ensure these are in line with business requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as or become an expert on the automated credit scoring environment and credit underwriting process. Contribute to the development of the global knowledge center for automated (credit) decision making.
  • Conduct analyses of the credit scored portfolio data, provide an interpretation of the results, and give advice to the (internal) customers on important trends and developments.
  • Support development of monitoring policies and frameworks to ensure the quality of the business and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of the region and countries using management information and raw data. Challenge the credit risk acceptance of the region and countries where needed and ensure their adherence to the relevant policies and frameworks.

Essentials

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • Background in retail credit scoring and/or credit underwriting and a general understanding of credit underwriting processes and procedures.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in some combination of Risk, Credit and small-ticket automation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Economics, Finance, or another related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated technical aptitude for data, including advanced Microsoft Excel and Hyperion skills; experience using statistical programs (Python, R) a plus.
