What impact do you want to make?
The Tax & Legal TOP Traineeship gives you the opportunity to discover which team suits you best. Within 2 years you will be working for 3 different teams, each for a period of 8 months. In addition, you and the other TOPpers start a personal development process with Peak4 to discover your motives, learn how to perform optimally in teams and how you can make an impact!
The Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi³) team supports clients with sustainability and innovation by identifying opportunities that qualify for tax relief or subsidies, with a specific focus on environmental taxes, among others.
How do you do this?
- analyzing various social themes for our clients in various industries, after which suitable (tax) incentives can be linked to them;
- assist in the preparation of (professional) challenging advice and the understanding and implementation of tax issues and the in-depth study of (tax) optimization and current developments, drawing your tax knowledge from literature and jurisprudence research;
- preparing advice, objections and presentations for clients;
- assisting colleagues in (virtual) consultations with customers;
- supporting the daily practice of tax advisors, including in the field of business development, targeting and project management.

Of course you communicate complex ideas and analyzes effectively and you want to discover and learn new things every day. Above all, you dare to be yourself. The true you. With your own strengths, view of the world and personality. Furthermore, for the Tax & Legal TOP Traineeship you have:
- a WO master’s degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics or Tax & Technology;
- experienced personal growth outside of your studies (such as a part-time job, sports, voluntary work or board);
- experience in tax practice is an advantage;
- an excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
The next starting date is September 1, 2023. Register for this starting date through May 28, 2023. Based on your application, we will assess whether you will be invited for the assessment and an initial interview. Are these both positive? Then you will be invited to the selection day on 14 June in Amsterdam. So keep this date free!

You share your expertise with about 30 other colleagues in the Global Investment and Innovation Incentives team that is part of Deloitte Tax & Legal. Our team focuses on fiscal, legal and organizational support for the R&D activities of our clients. The team deals with matters such as financing, patents, valuing technical knowledge or R&D organization.
This team is at the forefront when it comes to multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation and sustainability projects and enthusiasm.
At Deloitte we work in a hybrid way. We combine working from home, at the customer and at the office as optimally as possible.
