The Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant facilitates the day-to-day operation of the Engineering and Public Works department through effective communication and records management and through development and administration of efficient work processes. This role will provide administrative support to the Commissioner,
EPW.
What you will do: What you will need:

  • Provide a comprehensive range of administrative support and coordination of departmental matters for the Commissioner
  • Provide confidential correspondence and scheduling for the Commissioner and Department Directors
  • Prepare preliminary and draft Committee and Council agendas and reports for the Commissioner
  • Provide functional oversight of administrative functions and procedures within the Engineering & Public Works Department
  • Graduation from a 3 (three) year community college program related to the position requirements, or equivalent
  • Three to four years of progressively responsible related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and proven ability to accomplish performance goals

What we are offering
This is a temporary full-time opportunity at the District for up to twenty-four (24) months. The annualized compensation range for this role is $56,871 – $66,958. The District is also proud to offer the following to our temporary employees:
