Intake Officer – ADM021430
The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, Employment Standards Branch in Regina, requires a Term Employment Standards Intake Officer (approximately 40-hours per week) to inform a diverse client group, including business owners, employees, union representatives, lawyers, human resource professionals, industry associations, accountants, bookkeepers and other individuals requiring information related to the employment relationship.
In addition to administrative duties, the primary role of the Intake Officer will be to assess inquiries, conduct interviews, collect information and give assistance to those individuals with disputes relating to hours of work, breaks, maternity/parental/adoption leave, holidays, proper records, unlawful deductions, pro-rated benefits, duty to accommodate, equal pay, compensation issues, wrongful dismissal and other employment-related issues. In addition, you must have relevant experience in an administrative/office capacity. Knowledge of The Employment Standards Act and Regulations would be an asset.
You will have knowledge of:
- Administrative processes, including office procedures, interviewing techniques, and experience with various office equipment.
- Microsoft Office 360, including Word and Excel.
- Various Data Base programs and how to navigate them.
- Basic understanding of The Employment Standards Act and Regulations;

You will have the ability to:
- Clearly and accurately explain complex issues, policies, legislation and other information to clients;
